Introduction to Firearms Course
No experience is needed. This course is designed for those new to firearms.

It is a Four-hour Course that covers the following topics:

Fundamentals of shooting

Ammunition

Malfunctions

Fundamentals of shooting for accuracy

Cleaning your firearm, and

Relevant Virginia and Federal legal review.
The live-fire portion of the course will be scheduled after you complete the classroom instruction. We will work together to find a convenient 30-minute time slot for your live-fire session.

Firearm Permit Course
Our Concealed Carry Course is designed for individuals with a solid foundation in firearms, such as those who have completed our Intro to Firearms Course or equivalent training. This in-depth class equips students with the essential knowledge, skills, and mindset for safely and responsibly carrying a concealed firearm for personal protection.​
This is an eight-hour course covering the following topics in class:

This course fulfills the training requirements for Virginia’s Concealed Handgun Permit (CHP) and the Utah Non-Resident Concealed Firearm Permit, which is valid for concealed carry in over 30 states. The course includes fingerprinting for the Utah permit application and live-fire training.
The live-fire portion of the course will be scheduled after you complete the classroom instruction. We will work together to find a convenient 30-minute time slot for your live-fire session.

Maryland Handgun Qualification License
(HQL) Permit Course
This is also PART I of the MD Wear and Carry Permit
(16-Hour Training Requirement)
MARYLAND RESIDENTS:
This course is required prior to purchasing a handgun.

This is a Four-hour HQL Permit Course that extensively covers the following topics:

Handgun parts and operation
-
Fundamentals of shooting
-
Ammunition
-
Malfunctions
-
Fundamentals of shooting for accuracy

Cleaning your firearm, and
-
Relevant Maryland and Federal legal review.
This course meets the Maryland State Police training requirements for obtaining a Handgun Qualification License (HQL), which is necessary for purchasing a handgun in Maryland. The course includes the required live-fire portion. Please note that the Maryland electronic fingerprinting fee is not included in the course cost.

The live-fire portion of the course will be scheduled after the classroom instruction. We will coordinate a convenient 30-minute live-fire session for all students after the classroom portion. If you are seeking a Wear and Carry Permit, additional range sessions will be required to fulfill the live-fire requirement.

MD Wear and Carry Course Part II
+ Utah Non-Resident Concealed Firearm Permit
​​*This is Part II of the Wear and Carry Training. For Part I, please register for the MD HQL Permit Course and those hours will be credited toward this course.

This course fully prepares you to apply for a Maryland Wear and Carry Permit, including the mandatory live-fire qualification. Please note that the Maryland electronic fingerprinting fee is not included in the course cost. Additionally, we provide comprehensive guidance and materials to assist you in obtaining a Utah Non-Resident Concealed Firearm Permit, valid for concealed carry in over 30 states.

Subsequent live-fire sessions will be scheduled after the classroom portion(s) have been completed.
